Salem Witch Trials

Have you ever been falsely accused of a crime? In the Salem witch trials, many people were wrongly accused of practicing witchcraft. If I lived in that time I would be very nervous. I wouldn’t know who to trust or even if I should go out in public. People were accused on accounts of others. The town took this very seriously and took people to trial and even executed some. If I were accused I would be flustered and confused. First I would try to convince the people that I was not a witch and I had been wrongly accused. I would show them that I was a good person and a Christian. I would read things out of the bible in my defense and try to show them that I wasn’t even capable of committing this crime. If they didn’t buy it, next I would try to explain what I was doing wasn’t witch craft. It was just palates or tae-bo, not the dangerous deed of worshiping satan. Finally, if they still thought I practiced with craft, I would blame it on someone else. I would say that they forced me to do such things with death. Hopefully that would shift there focus to someone else long enough for me to make a break for it and leave town. I would probably try to get the next ship back to England to harbor me from my accusers. There I could work out my glutes and thighs in peace.
